Sooraj Balgobin is an internationally respected thought leader and practitioner of business strategy, process and IT system transformations, and associated human capital development. As a co-founder of The SOA Monitor, he specializes in helping customers formulate SOA strategies with clear linkages to business needs, measure and communicate the business value of SOA initiatives, engage business users in SOA projects and undertake business process analysis and modeling to identify which services to build. Sooraj has deep expertise in aligning business and IT to drive SOA. He has authored numerous articles on SOA and is a regular speaker at SOA conferences and other events. Sooraj was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Via One Technologies, Inc, a prepaid transaction processing company where he streamlined operations and led the execution of a new growth strategy. Beforehand, he was a senior manager in Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting division. He began his career with Andersen’s Audit and Business Advisory practice in London, UK.
