Steve is a strategic advisor and solution architect with over 20 years experience designing highly modular distributed applications and service-oriented solutions. Combining innovative thinking with deep technological understanding, Steve effectively translates complex business needs into flexible and integrated solutions. He was a Senior Principal Consultant with webMethods, Inc. (now Software AG) where he assisted Fortune 1000 companies deploy integration, SOA, and BPM solutions. Prior to webMethods, Steve worked as a Principal Solution Architect with Qwest Communications, where he redesigned the network inventory and capacity provisioning systems. His early background in knowledge representation and ontology engineering gives him a unique perspective on information semantics, translations, and canonical models. Steve is an invited speaker at events across North America and Europe, communicating thought-provoking and humorous insights about the interplay between technology and business . He is currently working on a new book aimed at helping IT executives better understand how to leverage SOA and Service-Oriented Integration to foster business agility.
